THE SINGING STONES OF MERITHWELL |
Word of Opening It is said and written that there once was a boy who became known as Kyle the Starsinger because he could sing notes higher than the highest stars in any of the worlds. It is said and written by others that Kyle the Starsinger never existed. It is said and written that Kyle the Starsinger was the first to sing a stone of Merithwell of Merithwell after its destruction hundreds of years earlier. It is said and written by others that Merithwell was never built in the first place, let alone founded and built a second time. Those in the seven worlds who do not believe in the existence of Merithwell also do not to believe in the existence of the six worlds other than their own. After having read all that has been written and said about Kyle the Starsinger and the equally remarkable boys who are said to have built the tower of Merithwell through song with him, I present this account of these boys and their wondrous stories in the hope that the stones of Merithwell will sing in the ears and hearts of all who read it. |
