Creatures We Dreamed of Knowing:
Some years ago, I visited the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. I was astounded by all of the underwater creatures I saw that unimaginable to me even as I saw them with my own eyes. If real creatures can be so unimaginable, how can we be so sure that we know everything that exists in our universe? After all, the marine life in the Aquarium of the Americas and similar aquariums elsewhere only scratch the surface of what lives in the depths of our oceans. The only thing we can be sure that we do not know everything that exists in our world. Which is to say, we do not know that there are no dragons or unicorns or other creatures we think strange or non-existent. It is creatures such as these who haunt our dreams both when we are sleeping and when we are awake. So they haunt our dreams because they are asking us to open our eyes and hearts to see them and welcome them into our lives?
